Demetrius “Kinky B” Ellerbee believes that he’s entitled to half of Jeezy’s earnings…
Young Jeezy’s former manager and best friend, Demetrius “Kinky B” Ellerbee, is suing the Atlanta rapper for half of his business earnings, according to the Courthouse News Service. According to the News Service, Ellerbee filed a lawsuit against his former best friend and business partner, Jeezy, in Fulton County Superior Court last week, claiming that he helped the Snowman form his Corporate Thugz Entertainment (CTE) group and that he’s “entitled to half of all royalties, advances and distributions.”
Ellerbee adds that Jeezy, real name Jay Jenkins, has “intentionally misappropriated, diverted and/or converted funds” meant for CTE.
“In response to defendant Jenkins’ recent notoriety as a solo artist, major music recording labels began showing interest in signing defendant CTE and defendant Jenkins to a production and/or recording agreement,” the complaint states.
Added Ellerbee’s attorney Mario Breedlove:
“We believe the facts of the lawsuit speak for themselves, and Mr. Ellerbee is hopeful that this matter can be resolved among the parties swiftly and amicably.”
Hoodclickerz reached out to Ellerbee, but hasn’t heard back from him as of press time.
Earlier this month, Jeezy was named the Senior VP of A&R at Atlantic Records.

The Young Money princess highly praised Fox Boogie at a recent concert…
Roxanne Shanté, MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Lauryn Hill and Lil’ Kim are easily some of the most influential female MCs to ever spit bars in the rap game. But ask Nicki Minaj, who’s the most influential rapstress and her answer comes easy—Foxy Brown.
“I really wanna thank you for being one of my biggest influences in the game,” Nicki said onstage to Foxy, her special guest, at her New York City show at The Roseland Ballroom, as reported by MTV News. “I never really told Foxy how much she has influenced me and how much she changed my life, and you’ve gotta tell people that when they’re alive to even be able to take the compliment, instead of paying tribute to them when they’re no longer here.
“I never really knew how she felt about me—in the industry, with women, you kinda just tread lightly—and I’m glad I was able to finally come out and say: ‘You were the most influential female rapper to me,’” she added.
In the past, Minaj has said Lil’ Kim was a huge influence on her too, but having beef with the Queen Bee probably quelled that feeling.—kelvin nkya

Big Sean will be dropping his new mixtape, Detroit, on September 5…
If the announcement video is any indication, Big Sean’s new mixtape is going to be a serious, snake-filled affair. The Detroit rapper hasn’t delivered a mixtape since Finally Famous Vol. 3: BIG, back on August 31, 2010, and his last solo project was his Def Jam debut, Finally Famous, which hit stores last June. Now, as he preps his sophomore album and the G.O.O.D. Music collaboration, Cruel Summer is still on the way, the former XXL Freshman will be dropping a new mixtape, Detroit, on September 5.
Below, check out the black and white trailer where Sean kicks it in front of the lights and with a snake, backed by a beat from Young Chop.

An insider source says Will Smith is set to produce The Throne’s upcoming documentary…
Footage of a Watch The Throne documentary hit the Internet last week, creating a stir. The 10-minute clip finds Jay-Z and Kanye West in Sydney, Australia, putting the final touches on their collaborative album ,which was released just over a year ago. An insider source has told the New York Daily News that Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s production company, Overbrook Entertainment, will be producing the highly-anticipated documentary. According to the source, the doc will premiere September 9th at the Toronto Film Festival. This won’t be the first partnership between Jay-Z and the Smiths. In September of 2010, Jay-Z announced Will and Jada’s daughter, Willow, had been signed to Roc Nation. Then in January 2011,Overbrook Entertainment and Jay-Z announced they’d be teaming up for a remake of Annie, with Willow starring as the title character. And in April of this year, Viddy, an app which allows users to create short videos and share with friends, announced both Overbrook Entertainment and Roc Nation were among a group of new investors in the company. The two singers have been named defendants in a $16 million lawsuit…
It’s been just over two months since Chris Brown and Drake engaged in a bottle tossing exchange at New York’s WiP nightclub. Now, the two singers have been named defendants in a $16 million lawsuit. The suit, filed by Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., states their respective entourages “fashioned deadly weapons out of whatever materials they could find, including glasses, alcohol bottles and furniture, thereby circumventing the nightclubs; extensive efforts to ensure a safe environment.”This isn’t the first lawsuit to be filed in the wake of the brawl. NBA star Tony Parker filed a $20 million suit of his own last month against the nightclub owners after he was injured by flying glass as a result of the fight. Additionally, the club’s owners filed a suit of their own against the city for “breach of contract,” after the city suspended the club’s liquor license, effectively shutting down the venue’s operations.
Neither Chris Brown nor Drake have been charged with a crime since the incident took place on the night of June 14th. Stay tuned into Hoodclickerz.blogspot.com for more updates on this developing story. — kelvin nkya

Fans will have to wait a little longer for Meek’s debut LP…
Meek Mill’s debut album, Dreams & Nightmares, has a new release date. The Philadelphia native and MMG rhyme slinger’s debut project will now drop on October 30, according to HipHop-n-More, instead of the August 28 original date. A source close to the MMG camp also confirmed the new release date with Hoodclickerz.blogspot.com.
Meek will spend this month, hitting cities such as Atlanta, St. Louis, Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Boston, Washington DC and New York City in support of his own tour.
If Meek’s last mixtape, Dreamchasers 2, is any indication, then Dreams & Nightmares should be a smash. The former offering crashed mixtape website DatPiff.com with an excessive amount of downloads.
The project also featured the likes of Rick Ross, Drake, Fabolous, French Montana, 2 Chainz, Fabolous, Mac Miller, Kendrick Lamar, Wale and Big Sean. The latter MC appeared alongside Meek on “Burn,” while Drake assisted the Philly MC on “Amen” and Fab, Wale and Mac Miller had his back on the “House Party [RMX].”
Last week, Meek’s MMG boss, Rick Ross, hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts with his God Forgives, I Don’t album.

Timbaland & Missy Elliott Will Not Work on Aaliyah Posthumous Album

Despite reports, Missy and Timbo will not take part in the project for their late friend…
Drake finally confirmed being at the helm of Aaliyah’s posthumous album after his performance at the OVO Festival last Sunday (August 5). “It’s all off of an Aaliyah project that me and 40 are commanding, and 40 is just doing some incredible, incredible music right now,” Drake said to Much Music moments after unleashing ‘Enough Said’ the lead single of the later singer, featuring himself. “To get 13-14 new Aaliyah songs, everybody should be excited.”
Drizzy then proceeded to say that him and 40 hope to have anybody close to Aaliyah collaborate with them on the project.
Missy Elliott and Timbaland will not be amongst those who participate.
“Although Missy and Timbaland always strive to keep the memory of their close friend alive, we have not been contacted about the project nor are there any plans at this time to participate,” Mona Scott-Young, longtime manager for Missy Elliott, said in a statement sent to Hoodclickerz.blogspot.com. “We’ve seen the reports surfacing that they have been confirmed to participate but that is not the case. Both Missy and Timbaland are very sensitive to the loss still being felt by the family so we wanted to clear up any misinformation being circulated.”
Added Missy: “Tim and I carry Aaliyah with us everyday, like so many of the people who love her. She will always live in our hearts. We have nothing but love and respect for her memory and for her loved ones left behind still grieving her loss. They are always in our prayers.”
Back in April, a month after rumors of the possible posthumous album surfaced, Timbaland expressed that the right thing for Drake to do would be to reach out to him and Missy.
“I know they trying to drop some Aaliyah records, but if he do it, it should be with me and Missy,” the super-producer told The Breakfast Club of New York City’s Power 105.1 radio dial back in April. “The proper way for him to do that would be for me, him and Missy to be all on the record. But to put it on his record, would just not be right.”
He nor Missy would ever contacted, reportedly.—kelvin nkya
Tony Yayo Denies Dissing 50 Cent

Yayo tweets that he started G-Unit, but insists there’s no friction between him, 50 and Banks…
50 Cent has made his displeasure about the work ethic of Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo clear in the past few months. The two G-Unit members have remained relatively silent, until Saturday (August 11), when it seemed like Yayo had finally had enough.
“Who started Gunit me that’s who,” Yayo tweeted.
Former G-Unit member, Game, caught wind of the tweet and took the opportunity to poke fun at Yayo.
“uh oh, 50 gone cut off yo health benefits & stop ya Vitamin water shipments u keep it up lol,” Game wrote on his Twitter that same day, after re-tweeting Yayo’s statement.
But, when websites and blogs were beginning to bubble with the news that Yayo was sending a subliminal shot at ’Fif, the Real Talk of New York set the record straight the next day.
“Why would I blow shots at 50 the media want see Gunit fail so bad we won to much in front of niggas everybody running with our format,” he continued.
Perhaps 50’s prior statements about him and Banks prompted him to set the record straight.
After telling Big Boy’s Neighborhood that his fellow G-Unit members “need to get themselves together” early last month, 50 recently told XXL that he thinks he has disabled Banks and Yayo.
“I did so much for them that they don’t have a continuous work ethic,” 50 offered.
Although the G-Unit general acknowledged that Banks and Yayo both dropped mixtapes—Banks with V6 and Yayo with Sex, Drugs & Hip-Hop—he was mystified that they didn’t accompany their tracks with videos to complement them.
“They got both of those tapes out there, but did you see any visuals? Anything?” 50 said. “There’s certain things that the new guy is doing to create momentum or energy. They just sit there and wait. When someone works for you, you have the habit of dealing with things by not dealing with them. You may get in the regimen of coming over and doing it for them.
“Dropping mixtapes…that was my ’02 strategy,” he added. “That’s 2002 marketing. That’s old. You did nothing if you did that. If you’re going to just wing it and drop a mixtape…pick the highlights that people like most and shoot ‘em. Go shoot the video.”—kelvin nkya
Game Sued for Missing Concerts in Lebanon

Game may have to pay a hefty sum for allegedly skipping out on some shows in Lebanon last year…
For the second time this month, Game is facing a lawsuit. AllHipHop is reporting that The Crystal Group has filed suit in New York City against the California rapper, born Jayceon Taylor, for missing two shows in Beirut, Lebanon in the summer of 2011. Both he and his touring company, BWS Touring, are named in the suit—which is seeking $250,000 from the Interscope signee, saying that they wired Game $30,000, but he canceled the performance—for breach of contract. According to the report, The Crystal Group also claims that they rescheduled the performance, which Game once again canceled.
This is the second time this month that the name-dropping rhymer has been named in a lawsuit. As previously reported, the producer Infamous came after Game in a suit, seeking damages of more than $100,000 for the use of his beat on the song “Skate On,” from Game’s California Republic mixtape.
Earlier this year, five North Carolina police officers were awarded $1 million each after claiming in a suit that they were misrepresented and victims of slander in Game’s 2005 DVD Stop Snitching/Stop Lyin. — kelvin nkya
